The Surreal Garden

This Saturday night I created a surreal dream-like landscape in my backyard garden. Sarah helped me bring this idea to life, and she was just wonderful to work with! We came up with the hippy bohemian idea and I asked her favorite colors- brown orange and green. So we went for earthy, yet unreal.

I didn't expect just HOW cool it would look. And I love what happens in the shadows with the colors. And now I want to do so many more, with different colors!!!

I call these the Trippy Hippy :) Enoy!

The Down Side to Real Estate Photography?

Was hired to photograph a what I found out was a condemned property in a part of town where I feared for my life a bit... Maybe time to carry a small weapon in my camera bag?

A Flair For the Dramatic

I was honored again to do a fashion shoot with Elisabeth Martin from Blonde Swan, who made this fabulous leather hat, and KMK Designs who created this ballgown and who both constantly amaze me with their creations.

There are so many photos to go through, but I had to show a sneak peak, because the leaning light is my new favorite find in the twin cities.

Surprise Wedding Day

Sometimes the Universe comes together and worlds collide. Or come together smoothly and beautifully. Jonathan and Sophie had a surprise wedding, and luckily (?) one of my real estate shoots had cancelled so I was available on one day notice. It was an honor to be involved and I tried to capture their surprise day with love and care.

Here are just a few previews:
